DESCRIPTION:Our annual Huckleberry Festival is our biggest event of the summer! With more than 1500 attendees annually\, there’s something for everyone.\n\nThe festival represents the one day each summer that Castle operates one of its chairlifts\, for scenic chairlift rides\, providing great access to several huckleberry patches. If hiking and berry picking isn’t your thing\, you’ll be sure to love all of the free\, live music in the base area of the resort\, along with great food and drink. Pick up some unique and interesting items at our mountain market\, or just let the kids enjoy our extensive kids zone\, with all kinds of fun games.\n\nAccess to the festival grounds is absolutely free\, with chairlift rides\, food\, and drink available for a cost. DESCRIPTION:Our annual torchlight parade is back! Taking place Saturday\, February 7th\, the torchlight parade is a way to honour and celebrate the lives of our friends and Castle lovers that have passed away. \nThe torchlight parade involves taking a short ride up the lower portion of the T-Rex T-Bar (don’t forget a headlamp / flashlight) and then skiing down Whiskey Jack by the light of a flare. Guests are asked to arrive / meet at CMR’s Snow School desk no later than 6:30 PM. Loading on the T-Rex t-bar will take place starting at 6:45 PM with the parade to take place just after 7 PM. \nOnline registration is available at the link above. Last minute spots\, should they remain available\, will be available between 5 PM and 6 PM in our Snow School.  \nNOTE: A waiver must be completed by all participants\, or by a legal parent or guardian\, in the event that a participant is under the age of 18. Participant waivers will be sent via email\, immediately after your online purchase is complete. Guests without a completed waiver will NOT be able to participate.  \n

SUMMARY:TOM TATARYN WORLD’S LONGEST SLALOM RACE
DESCRIPTION:Castle Mountain Resort\, in conjunction with the Livingstone Ski Academy (LSA)\, is proud to present the Tom Tataryn World’s Longest Slalom Race. This is your opportunity to push yourself to compete in the longest slalom race in the WORLD! The race begins near the top of our lift serviced area and goes all the way down 2\,800 + vertical feet to the base. Should you finish you will have achieved an incredible feat you can take with you forever. Information is as follows:\n\nREGISTRATION –\n\n\n\n\nRegistration is $15 in advance of race day and for $20 on the day of\, should any spots remain available. Click the “Register Now” link to reserve your spot.\nPlease note that a bib deposit of $20 (CASH ONLY) must be paid upon check-in. This is to assist us with ensuring bibs come back to us. Once you return your bib your deposit will be returned.\n\nCATEGORIES –\n\nU12 (11 years of age and younger)\nU15 (12 – 14 years of age)\nU20 (15 – 19 years of age)\nU30 (20 – 29 years of age)\nU40 (30 – 39 years of age)\nU50 (40 – 49 years of age)\n50 + (50 years and older)\nThere will be a male and female category within each age categories\n\nSCHEDULE –\n\n8:00 AM – 10:00 AM\n\nDay of registration is available\, only if not already sold out\, at CMR Guest Services.\nPreviously registered participants can proceed to the Day Lodge stage\, where events staff will check you in\, accept your $20 bib deposit (CASH ONLY)\, and issue your bib.\n\n\n10:00 AM – 11:00 AM\n\nCourse inspection\n\nPractice running of the course is not permitted\nSlide into the course\, take a look\, and slide out\n\n\n\n\n11:00 AM\n\nRace start\n\nThere are no specific start times for competitors. All you need to do is show up to the start and complete your run\, prior to 1 PM\, to have your time eligible.\n\n\n\n\n1:00 PM\n\nCourse Closed\n\n\nAnytime before 4:00 PM\n\nBib return on the Day Lodge stage.
